The Countdown

Only one more week of work! I start full time deputation on January 1. I am very nervous but I know the Lord will provide for my needs. Sometime it is hard to just step out on faith but it is the only way to live as a Christian. I am reminded about the widow that took care of Elijah. She gave her all to God and God took care for her. That is what I and every Christian needs to do. I need to give my all to God. While on deputation I will need to fuly trust God to meet my needs. I look forward to my time on deputation but I also hope that the people of God will pray that all goes well.

God has allowed me to be in several churches

God has allowed me to be in several churches before I start full time in January. I was able to be at Global Vision Baptist in Mt Juliet TN and then Calvary Baptist in Eatonton GA. I appreciate the people of God being willing to pray for the ministry God has given me. The Pastors and their people have been an encouragement to me. The Lord provided the meetings for me. It is a blessing to see God take care of me and my needs. When a need comes up I get excited now to see how God is going to supply. My sister and brother-in-law surprised the whole family when they told us they were pregnant. I am really excited about being an uncle! My parents are more excited about being grandparents. I went to the Vision Conference of my church last night. The church has a plan to reach the city for Christ. The churches motto this year is Mission: Earth 2010, One + One = Two. Each member of Lighthouse is supposed to reach and disciple one in 2010 which would double the church next year. It is a privilege to be a member of a church that has a Vision to reach their city and the world! Also, My first prayer letter goes out Friday, if you could like to receive one please e-mail me your address and/or e-mail address I can send it to either.

Christmas Time!

I have been busy the past couple of weeks. Christmas time is here. I feel that sometimes we get so busy this time of year we forget what Christmas is all about. I enjoy the parties, music, and giving gifts but we need just to take time to thank God for His gift (Jesus). I wish I could have seen it, the time when almighty God can to be born to die for man. All I can say is to GOD be the glory. My pastor has been teaching on worship and knowing who God is. Christmas time is a great time to praise God...God is Wonderful, Prince Of Peace, Emmanuel, Christ, Messiah, Everlasting One, Father, The Beginning and the End, Creator, All Knowing, The God of my Salvation, Shepherd, and the list can go on and on. God is great and deserves our praise and thanksgiving this time of year!

The Lord is Good

The Lord has been good to me the past few weeks. The survey trip to Brazil went very well. The need of Brazil is great. The state in Brazil were I will be working is the second largest state in Brazil. It has over 20 million people and 700 cities. However of those 700 cities only 15 have fundamental works in them. The team of missionaries that God is placing in Brazil have a plane to reach the state, Brazil, South America and the World with the gospel. We plan to use Formiga as a base to reach the surrounding cities. I will post pictures of the trip on my website soon.

The Lord blest my heart this afternoon during the staff meeting at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Pastor Wynn was speaking and he was talking about as Christian what we need to stand up for. We need to stand strong in the Christian life we will have battle after battle. If we are doing a work for God the Devil will not leave us alone so battles will come. The battles often come from those we trust but we still need to stand for right. He also reminded us about the company we keep, they will rub off on us we need to surround ourselves with people that want to please God. The more you hang out with the wrong crowd the more we begin to look like the wrong crowd. It is a privilege to serve under a Pastor the walks with God and is willing to stand up for right no matter what the consequence.

I went to see Mrs Dean, an elderly lady at Lighthouse Baptist Church. She is in the Rehab hospital in Phenix City. She is in the same room that I was in 2005. It brought back so many memories and challenges that I faced. I am just so thankful God brought me through the fall. Indeed God is good. He is the only reason I am walking again. He used the fall to make me fully rely on Him. When you fully rely on God that is when God can use you. It is so much fun to serve Him now. I watch Him supply my needs. He is sending me to Brazil as a missionary. He used me to influence lives of men women and children in inner city Columbus. I would have done nothing if God hadn't let me fall ten feet and land on my back. I was paralyzed for a while, but it was during that time I grew closer to the Lord. I am thankful God was willing to do whatever it took to get me to serve him. PRAISE THE LORD!

Great Meeting

I have spent the last couple of days at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Belmont, MA. It has bee a good meeting so far. The people of the church are very friendly and you can tell they have a great passion to grow in the Lord. Pastor Starr is such a great blessing I have learned from him already. He has been the pastor for 50 years and he has stood firm in his beliefs. The church has taken great care of me and the other missionaries. Assitant Pastor Fisher and his family took us to all the sights of Boston. It is a blessing to see the historic places here. I saw where the first battle of the American Revolution, the shoot heard around the world, where Paul Revere road, and the North Church. It is exciting to see where this great nation began. Indeed we have the greatest nation on earth. God Bless the United States of America.
